  1. It’s been a few years since we last had a Battlefield game, but the technical wizards at longtime series developer DICE have been hard at work to bring the blockbuster shooter series to the next generation. The result is Battlefield 2042, a groundbreaking first-person experience that looks to revolutionize the modern multiplayer sandbox as we know it. Powered by cutting-edge technology and featuring massive battles, the game drops players into a near-future combat experience that turns the traditional campaign structure on its head. In Battlefield 2042, the world is on the edge. Shortages of food, energy and clean water have led to dozens of failed nations, creating the greatest refugee crisis the world has ever seen. These refugees are known as Non-Patriated, or No-Pats, and are made up of families, farmers, engineers – and even soldiers. Amidst this crisis, the United States and Russia draw the world into an all-out war. No-Pat Specialists join both sides, fighting not for a flag, but rather for a seat at the table in this new world. This time out, DICE is changing the traditional “loadout” structure seen in previous games. This time out, you’ll select one of four Specialists, an all-new type of playable soldier that’s inspired by the traditional four Battlefield classes. These Specialists will have their own unique Specialist Trait and Specialty and will have fully customizable weapon loadouts. As a Specialist, players will have access to a cutting-edge arsenal of weapons, equipment, and vehicles (which you can even call in mid-fight) to use in battle. These powerful new tools give creative players a ton of options in order to find the perfect combination to fit their play style. The developers have said that Battlefield 2042 will be massive, but that’s almost an understatement. Featuring matches filled with up to 128 players on Xbox Series X|S, this unprecedented scale adds a new dimension to multiplayer battles. It also ratchets up the intensity with the inclusion of real-time events that reshape the battlefield and tactical combat. Battlefield 2042 sports a number of modes to get players’ blood pumping. The first is known as All-Out Warfare and is made up of fan-favorite gametypes Conquest and Breakthrough. These feature the largest maps ever for the franchise and allow up to 128 players on Xbox Series X|S to battle head-to-head. To up the intensity, these maps are filled with dynamic weather, dangerous environmental hazards and jaw-dropping world events such as tornadoes that tear across the map and sandstorms that block out the sun. Next up is Hazard Zone, an all-new squad-based game-type that DICE only says is a modern take on the multiplayer experience but is keeping a lid on for a bit longer. There’s also another mode being developed by DICE LA that the team is calling “a love letter to Battlefield fans” and promises that long-time players will feel right at home with. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until EA Play Live on July 22 for more details. With their dynamic events and sprawling design, the game’s massive maps are going to be a centerpiece for some intense and memorable moments. Let’s take a closer look at what you can expect from each of them: Kaleidoscope – set in South Korea, this map will see forces clashing over a quantum powered disinformation hub after an attack threatens the global network. Manifest – taking place in Singapore, this is a strategic flashpoint which is vital for the American supply lines and global trade. Orbital – set in the jungles of French Guiana, this map finds forces battling to control a rocket launch site in a race against time. Discarded – located in India, here you’ll find shipbreakers facing tidal extremes as factions fight to secure nuclear assets. Renewal – on this map, players will fight over a groundbreaking agriculture technology center in the Egyptian Desert. Hourglass – set in Qatar, this map features shifting sands and a lost shipping convoy that splits a city center apart. Breakaway – the final map that was shown took place in Antarctica, where soldiers battle over oil and gas as the ice around them gives way. Are you ready to take the fight into the next generation? Battlefield 2042 is available now for pre-order and is set to launch on October 22 on Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and Xbox One. Xbox Game Pass for PC and Ultimate members with EA Play memberships can also pre-order at a 10% discount. As if you need more incentive, players who pre-order the game will receive early access to the Open Beta! The location provides a highly intensive combat at close and long ranges. The team deathmatch kicks off inside the tunnel behind its gate. The defense team starts the battle in the dead end of a railway tunnel, while the attacking team begins the combat on the opposite side of the map, behind a truck. 5. Chernobylite is an upcoming sci-fi survival horror RPG set in the hyper-realistic, 3D scanned wasteland of Chernobyl’s Exclusion Zone, originating from a deeply personal experience for Polish developers Farm 51. In the Spring of 1986, during a routine safety test designed to simulate an electrical power outage, newly installed operators, upon test completion, triggered a reactor shutdown that led to two explosions which ruptured the reactor core and destroyed the reactor building. This resulted in an open-air reactor core fire that released considerable amounts of radioactive contamination throughout Russia and Western Europe. The panic that followed from the resulting radioactive cloud spreading over Europe, the unpalatable Lugol’s liquid that had to be drunk to counter the effects of the radiation poisoning, as well as an order to stay at home, indoors, this was the reality for millions of people, including the members of Chernobylite’s development team. These events triggered a deep fascination and interest in Chernobyl with Farm51. This interest was later developed into a project that aimed to transfer the Chernobyl power plant and surrounding city of Pripyat, into a virtual state. A virtual documentary of the events that shook the world. Proceeds from this virtual experience were donated to the victims who still require care from the decades-old disaster. Taking many years to 3D scan one of the most dangerous places on earth and faithfully recreate the Zone, Farm 51 conceived the idea of developing story-driven game that could replicate the responsibility for oneself, and others, that those must have experienced in such a terrifying situation. A game that would allow others to see and feel the atmosphere of this deserted, once bustling town through their own eyes. A feeling of sadness and emptiness. An intensified feeling of anxiety that Farm 51 felt themselves. Preserving Chernobyl from natural destruction became one of the pillars of the game, to memorialise a place that is deteriorating and disappearing from year to year. The abandoned buildings in the city of Pripyat, buildings and objects exposed to the weather that won’t stand the test of time. There are already places in Chernobyl that have collapsed or burned down in recent years and can now only be seen thanks to the great effort to preserve the site in digital form. The Story April 26, 1986, 1:23am. The day that changed Chernobyl forever. You will take on the role of Igor Khymynyuk, a former physicist and ex-employee of Chernobyl, 30 years on from that fateful day, April 26, 1986. The day that changed Chernobyl, and his life, forever. Haunted by the loss of your fiancée Tatiana Amalievain, in the chaotic aftermath, you return to Pripyat for the first time to investigate her mysterious disappearance. Can you survive the harsh and unforgiving environment in your search for the truth? Stealth, Survival & Combat Survival in the Zone is not easy, and each day brings fresh challenges as comrades die and supplies diminish. Danger lurks in every corner. Stay undetected while navigating the rough and contaminated environment and gather all the evidence to piece together the events of the past. Avoid detection to perform stealth takedowns or engage in open armed combat with a variety of weapons at your disposal. Maintaining your mental wellbeing and that of your comrades alike will be equally as important to your chances of success as the range of enemies and obstacles you will face increases. Life in the Zone is fragile, and your decisions determine not only your fate, but that of others. Surrounded by threats from all directions, you must plan your strategy carefully to survive. Base Building & Crafting You’ll need to construct a base from which to plan your daily operations and excursions. Utilize workstations to craft gadgets, create traps and weapons, modify equipment, or produce valuable lifesaving medicines to help keep you and your crew alive. Improve your skills to gather as many pieces of information and evidence about past events as you can. Use that knowledge to fulfil your mission. Resource & Team Management Each day will require careful planning and assignment of resources and tasks to your comrades. Take on the tasks yourself or send your colleagues to complete the job. These companions are key to your survival and the resolution of your journey. Treat them well and make them comfortable and they will be very helpful, lower their quality of life, and your odds of success will diminish. Gather resources using your PDA and other gadgets to help survive the hostile environment and source new materials for your base to create a more comfortable surrounding for your team. Remember though, decisions you take early, affect the later outcome of events. If you are a fan of extraordinary history, combined with survival horror and RPG elements and would like to see Chernobyl with your own eyes, get ready for an unforgettable experience. 6. The Vex have attacked and, for the first time in humanity’s history, the Sun did not rise. Trapped in this endless night by an unknown Vex simulation, the Vanguard have focused their gaze on an unlikely ally – one who can hopefully guide Guardians in their response to the Vex incursion. That ally is Mithrax, Kell of the House of Light. In addition to being a Kell who leads a small group of Eliksni refugees, Mithrax is also one of the last Sacred Splicers. A rare group who have mastered the ability to commune with machines, see the Light within the code, and even manipulate it. In exchange for his help, he only asks for one thing: Access to the City for him and his followers who wish to be closer to their god, The Traveler. Ikora dispatches Guardians to meet with Mithrax on Europa, broker the alliance, and embark on a journey into the unknown. Welcome to Season of the Splicer. Crash the Network We’re excited for players to harness Splicer technology and adventure through the new synthetic landscape created for this Season. It’s unlike anything we’ve done before and we think the Season’s tone and aesthetic will really resonate with old and new players alike. To crack the mystery that kicks off the Season, players will have to find answers in the heart of the Vex Network. Although built in a coded and mysterious language, Mithrax will teach players to traverse the Network and use their power to crash it from the inside. These expeditions into the Network take place in two new Seasonal activities: Override and Expunge. Override: This is the new six-player matchmade offensive that challenges players to infiltrate the Vex Network, steal their code, and use it against them. Starting on Europa, multiple destinations will unlock throughout the Season. Expunge: This is a new pinnacle activity for one to three players. Each week, players will embark on missions to expose vulnerabilities within the Vex Network. This mission is altered every week as the Seasonal story unfolds. Upgrade Your Tech Upon meeting with Mithrax, Guardians will receive a Splicer Gauntlet that will allow them to absorb Ether, secure Splicer upgrades, and unlock chests. There’s also a new space in the H.E.L.M. that players can visit to plan their attack, take on challenges, and claim rewards. There are also over 30 new and reprised weapons to collect, new Exotic armor pieces for each class, and 100+ Seasonal ranks to unlock. Season Pass holders will also instantly unlock an Exotic Stasis Sidearm that charges up liquid cooling coils with every shot. Once powered up, the next charged shot freezes the target in Stasis. Assault the Vault Get those calendars updated because on May 22, Vault of Glass returns. The first raid ever released in the Destiny franchise is making its Destiny 2 debut. Faithful to the original, it’s been revamped and is ready to challenge veterans and new players alike. Upgraded to make the most of the new sandbox technology, the fan-favorite raid makes its return… absolutely free for all players. As with every Destiny 2 raid, the joy of triumphing over the most challenging encounters in the game is only part of the reward. The rest are rewards players can wear (in-game and in real life). In addition to the Vex Mythoclast Exotic Fusion Rifle, there are stunning weapons and armor to collect, and new Bungie Rewards to unlock like the Vault of Glass raid jacket and ring. Tune in to the World First race, get your fireteam ready, and fight your way through the Vault. Atheon, Time’s Conflux, awaits. Leave a Lasting Impression Customizing our Guardians has always been core to Destiny 2. Coming up with distinct looks for each subclass or playing off an Exotic we’re using, it’s a cool way to show off your character’s individuality and leave a lasting impression with the people you meet in game. And even though the fashion scene has been alive and well, Season of the Splicer will introduce players to a new Guardian Appearance system that takes customization to the next level. Coupled with changes to the shaders and the introduction of Armor Synthesis, the tools to craft a Guardian’s style have never been more powerful. Guardian Appearance Previously, players would interact with their Guardian’s look from the main character screen – clicking into each individual armor piece to inspect it and alter its appearance with shaders and Universal Ornaments. Those days are gone. Now there’s a new screen devoted to customizing your Guardian’s look. Access your entire set of armor from one screen with information about your current shaders and ornaments available at a glance. Think of it like a dressing room for your Guardian. This powerful and flexible new system means it’s never been easier to manage all the armor and shaders in your collection. And your collection is about to get a lot more impressive… Armor Synthesis Ever see a piece of armor and wish you could use it like a Universal Ornament – applying its look to the armor you’re wearing? Well, now you can. With the help of Ada-1, Guardians can forge new Universal Ornaments from most of the armor in Destiny 2 using Synthweave, a new currency available from playing a variety of activities. There’s also bonus Synthweave everyone can grab for free by playing through the Armor Synthesis introductory questline. Future’s So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades Before Season of the Splicer, shaders were individual items in your inventory that players would have to manage. Run out of a shader? There was a different Collections area where players could purchase whichever shader they wanted for Glimmer and/or Legendary Shards. This purchased shader would then be added to your inventory to be used. Starting this Season, this process has been massively streamlined. Now, shaders are now permanent unlocks that can be applied to any item for 500 Glimmer from a single screen. Players simply click the shader they want from their Guardian Appearance menu and voila, style points +1. To celebrate this change and help everyone dress for success, we’re adding a bundle to Eververse for Glimmer (not Silver) that contains a bunch of shaders from the early days which players may have missed. Season of the Splicer Starts Today Running from May 11 to August 24, there’s more going on that I didn’t get a chance to speak about, including the Solstice of Heroes free event. And remember that if you picked up Season of the Chosen, the Battlegrounds activity is still available in the H.E.L.M. for the rest of the year. Check out the full calendar, message your fireteam, and plan your Season. Destiny 2 is free to play, and all its expansions are available on Xbox Games Pass. I hope you join us as we virtually flip synthwave tables throughout the Vex Network all Season long. 8. Summary Bring cinematic spectacle to Planet Coaster: Console Edition Charge your Proton Packs! The Ghostbusters are coming to Planet Coaster: Console Edition Be the director! Inspire movie magic with the Studios Pack We’re delighted to be sharing exciting news on the Planet Coaster: Console Edition‘s upcoming DLC. We’re bringing not one, but two incredible packs to Planet Coaster, both fit to burst with amazing new rides, stunning new scenery, blueprints, props, sound effects, and so much more. Ghostbusters is our love letter to the 1984 hit movie, and the Studios Pack is a spectacular tribute to the silver screen. Ahead of their launch later this week across Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, we’re here to give you all the must know details. First, let’s talk Ghostbusters. We’ve put all of our love, knowledge, and enthusiasm for the franchise into this pack, and we really think it shows. Put simply, this is utterly authentic Ghostbusters action anyone can enjoy. Whether you’re familiar with the exploits of Raymond “Ray” Stantz and co., or completely new to the spectre-sucking thrills, you’re in for a treat. Ghostbusters features one new flat ride, one new coaster, and an array of construction pieces and decorations for you to build your very own official Ghostbusters-themed areas. We’re particularly proud of the Ghostbusters Experience, a unique dark ride in which guests quite literally bust ghosts using their very own Proton Packs. Score points and aim for the high score table in this interactive experience as you or your guests ride the ECTO-1, clearing haunted locations. The brand new coaster is equally unmissable. It’s called the RollerGhoster, a kiddie coaster helmed by Slimer himself. The goo-green ghost leads train carts around a moderately high-speed track that twists and turns – perfect for some of your park’s younger guests. Of course, you’ll want to make the areas around these rides as eye-catching as possible, and for that we’ve got just the thing: hundreds of scenery pieces and sounds straight from the movie, including the Ghostbusters HQ, Spook Central, and ECTO-1. Build haunted hotels where colourfully translucent spirits lurk; introduce a towering Stay Puft Marshmallow Man to greet visitors; and even play through a brand new narrative campaign. The campaign employs the talents of Dan Aykroyd and William Atherton, who voice their roles as iconic Ghostbusters’ co-founder, Raymond Stantz, and Special Agent Walter Peck. Spearhead heroic efforts to free your attractions from ghosts and protect guests from paranormal phenomena. So be ready to answer the call – the Ghostbusters need your help. Next, let’s talk the Studios Pack. It contains everything you need to build epic sets, blockbuster set-pieces, and awesome tours your guests will adore. We’ve encompassed multiple genres here, so we’ve got Wild West props to help you design old-school shootouts, zombie animatronics for intense horror vibes, and rigged vehicles that flip and crash so you can make chaotic downtown areas. My personal favourite is the train we’ve designed to careen straight off its tracks – that’ll shock everyone at the food court. As well as serving up movie vibes, we’ve also got an array of items perfect for constructing behind-the-scenes stuff: green screens, cameras, clapperboards, and even crew members in a variety of poses. These are great on their own, but they’re even better when used in conjunction with Big Screen Tour, one of three theatrical new rides in the Studios Pack. Big Screen Tour is the Hollywood backlot tour experience brought to life, as powered buses with adjustable lengths bring guests face to face with elements from the silver screen. This would be a good place to use our new giant shark animatronic… And let’s not forget our other two rides. Re-Motion is an advanced simulator that seats guests in pods controlled by an adjustable robotic arm. This lets you tilt and turn them in any direction, giving them 360 degrees of movie mayhem. Finally, there’s Horror Heights, a classic drop tower ride that’s designed to work within buildings, plunging guests multiple storeys in seconds. What’s even better is, you can set up several drops – just when they think the ride’s over, drop them again! The blueprint included with the pack is set inside an office block overrun with undead. Here, riders are situated in an out-of-control elevator that takes them from the rooftop fire escape to a zombie-filled underground car park. You can choose to use this template wholesale, or create your custom riffs on the format using all of the quick and easy building tools available to you in Planet Coaster: Console Edition. As an added bonus, we’re thrilled to announce that for a limited time only to celebrate the launch of these new packs, if you purchase any Planet Coaster: Console Edition DLC and a “Ghostbusters” movie between 4/29 and 5/12 from the Microsoft Store you’ll receive a $5 Xbox Gift Card! (US/CA Only). Both the Studios Pack and Planet Coaster: Ghostbusters arrive April 29 on the Microsoft Store. 9. Perseus stands on the edge of total domination and chaos reigns in Verdansk. Welcome to Season Three in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Experience the new Warzone, Verdansk ‘84, plus four more multiplayer maps, six new weapons, and the next chapter of Zombies in Outbreak. Here’s what’s coming to Season Three, live now. Welcome to the New Warzone: An Overview of Verdansk ‘84 Welcome to a new era in Warzone. Season Three winds back the clock to 1984, with a fully reimagined Verdansk optimized for a greater variety of gameplay and major changes all over the map. Now fully tied into the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War storyline, Verdansk is like you’ve never seen it before on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Here are just some of the major changes you’ll see in Verdansk ‘84: Gora Viaduct: A feat of 19th century engineering, the viaduct spans the Gora River Valley, with dams upstream feeding the lush grassland. Find ascenders, drop off the bridge onto gondola roofs, and perform epic vehicle stunts. Old Verdansk Stadium: While the Verdansk Sparks expect a new stadium soon, they need to play elsewhere while the old stadium is dismantled. In 1984, the demolition site is still open with high vantage points such as an announcer booth, an archaic scoreboard, and a parked crane. There may even be a hole in the arena wall big enough to allow a Cargo Truck onto the pitch! Salt Mine: In 1984, Verdansk’s Quarry was the region’s largest salt mine. Two large (and currently sealed) entrances lead into the salt mine, a location with numerous old mine conduits and a large craggy hillside with containment ponds and factories to explore. Superstore: This popular drop returns to 1984 with changes and improved game flow. On the roof, skylights allow you to crash as you enter through the main interior of Superstore. New exterior windows sit in the southwest edge to the reception area. You can even access the tops of the shelves and a central refrigerated section under the roof. 1984 Verdansk – 2021 Strategy Guide, Updated and Free Read more about the “retrofitted” changes in “The Official Warzone Strategy Guide”. This update includes the full breakdown of tactics, tips, loadout suggestions, and over 400 points of interest in Verdansk ’84. Check out the entire guide here. “Hunt for Adler” Event The new “Hunt for Adler” limited-time event starts at launch of Season Three in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, tasking operators to complete in-game challenges, earn event rewards, and learn of Adler’s whereabouts. Once you’ve completed a full set of challenges in either Black Ops Cold War or Warzone, you’ll unlock an exclusive Adler skin for use in both games! Six New Weapons Expand your arsenal with six new Season Three weapons: PPSh-41 SMG (Launch Week) – This classic SMG spits fire for an aggressive playstyle that’s ideal for leading the charge. Swiss K31: Sniper Rifle (Launch Week) – With fast rechamber and aiming speeds with a large ammo capacity, this bolt-action sniper rifle creates exceptional accuracy. Unlock more weapons throughout Season Three by completing in-game challenges or by purchasing their corresponding bundles in the Store. In Season Three, keep an eye out for the CARV.2 Tactical Rifle, the AMP63 pistol, the Baseball Bat, and the Ballistic Knife (which is available only in Cold War at Season Three launch). New Multiplayer Maps, Outbreak Content and More in Zombies, and Additional Features Yamantau (6v6, Launch Week): Fight through the crumbled remains and bury your enemies at the Soviet observatory on Mt. Yamantau. Battle through a massive, downed satellite dish, snowy interiors, and broken catwalks. Diesel (6v6/2v2/3v3, Launch Week): In the lonesome desert and a slice of Americana, battle around the gas station and its surrounding buildings. Standoff (6v6, In-Season): Watch the building and mind the hay bales. Season Three sees the return of this iconic three-lane medium sized map from the fan and pro scene. Duga (Multi-Team In-Season, Outbreak at Launch): Only the strongest Operators can hope to survive the cruel terrain in the Ural Mountains in this new Multi-Team environment. Move through the central admin offices for close-range battle or work around the perimeter through the bus depot to the chemical processing plant for long-range. No need to wait until mid-season to play Duga! Drop into the map coming exclusively to Zombies in Outbreak at launch for the first half of Season Three! Multi-Team Elimination (In-Season): Multiple teams of four will fight to survive ever-expanding radiation zones in the Multi-team Elimination mode coming to Black Ops Cold War’s biggest maps. Emerge as the last team standing or the first squad to board the exfil chopper in the final safe zone to achieve victory. Sticks and Stones Returns at Season Launch Sticks and Stones is back for Black Ops Cold War and it is every operator for themselves. Each player deploys with the R1 Shadowhunter crossbow, Ballistic Knife, and a Tomahawk. The first player to reach the score limit or the player with the highest score when the timer expires wins. New Scorestreak: Strafe Run (Launch Week) Rack up kills or hold down an area for your team by calling upon a pair of jet fighters to shower lead and rockets down upon the DZ with this new mid-tier Scorestreak. With a longer active period and higher potential for kills compared to Scorestreaks like the Napalm Strike, the Strafe Run is a solid choice for any MP mode. New Outbreak Vehicles: FAV and Cargo Truck (Launch Week) Hit the road with two new vehicles for Outbreak. Gun down zombies while racing for the next objective with the high-speed Fast Attack Vehicle (FAV) or fit the whole squad as you hunt Special and Elite zombies with the Cargo Truck. New Field Upgrade: Toxic Growth Requiem’s R&D team has developed Toxic Growth in round-based maps and Outbreak, a Field Upgrade that summons a deadly growth of toxic thorns that reduce zombie movement speed by half and deals toxic damage to enemies. Operators can upgrade Toxic Growth using Aetherium Crystals to double its damage, give it more charges, and even cause enemies who perish from the growth to explode! New Outbreak World Events and Features (Launch Week) Gain access to upgrades for the D.I.E. Machine Wonder Weapon, unlock the powerful Aether Tool item by destroying Fury Crystals, discover the secret to warping ahead to higher difficulty regions even faster, and more for the first time in Outbreak. New Battle Pass, Prestige Levels, and More This is just the surface of what Season Three is bringing along with a new Battle Pass, three new playable operators — Wraith, Antonov, and Knight — new prestige levels, new challenges in Multiplayer and Zombies, and more. Plus, those who purchase or already own any version of Black Ops Cold War at the start of Season Three will receive the Captain Price Operator for use in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. 10. The Wasteland 3 team here at inXile is very excited to announce the first narrative expansion for Wasteland 3: The Battle of Steeltown will be releasing June 3. Since the game’s launch last August, we’ve been working on adding new features, quality of life changes, and fixing bugs and improving game stability and performance. But in the background, far from prying eyes, the team has been focused on creating new story-driven content. The Battle of Steeltown is a narrative expansion to the core game of Wasteland 3—slotting into the game’s story and adding new locations, quests, gear, and adding new twists to our tactical combat. Steeltown sits as the manufacturing hub of Colorado, and the Patriarch—the region’s self-proclaimed ruler—relies on Steeltown to keep him in power. It’s responsible for keeping his guns firing and his vehicles running, but lately things have been … wrong. Shipments are arriving late, with the wrong items, or are just outright missing, and with the Plains Gangs threatening his sovereignty these aren’t problems he can just hope will fix themselves. That’s where you and the Rangers come in. The Battle of Steeltown is the first DLC we’ll be releasing for Wasteland 3, and will be available for $13.99 on Xbox One (playable on Xbox Series X|S via Backward Compatibility), and on PC for Windows 10 and Steam on June 3. Xbox Game Pass members who want to purchase The Battle of Steeltown DLC save 10%. We’re looking forward to sharing more about the content, items, and unique combat mechanics in the weeks ahead. Stop by inXile-entertainment.com to keep up on the news, and of course we invite you to follow along on Twitter @Wasteland and join the Ranger.HQ on Facebook. We also just launched the official Wasteland collection last week on the Xbox Gear Shop, including tees, a hoodie, tank tops, an ever-important Desert Rangers flask, and more. No longer will you need to scream “Wasteland 3!” while grocery shopping—now you can simply let people see it printed on your clothing. Head over to the Xbox Gear Shop and let your clothes do the screaming for you. 13. The April update brings several exciting additions to World of Warships: Legends as the game celebrates its second year since releasing into early access. Get ready to unlock and command aircraft carriers, take part in a new campaign, and prepare for new seasons of Arena mode! Let’s start off with a look at the new flattops. Aircraft Carriers are here to stay and scout out the high seas! Your feedback from the airstrike event at the start of the year was largely positive, though we have made a few changes to them in the meantime. First and foremost are the balance changes, we made some tweaks to give carriers a bit more power in battle. Most importantly, we added an automatic navigation system based on your feedback to allow you to reposition your ship while flying your squadrons around. The other types of ships also received ways to improve their anti-aircraft firepower in the form of commander skills, modules, and, for cruisers, the Defensive Anti-Aircraft Fire consumable. How do you get into a carrier, you ask? You’ll be able to start researching U.S. and Japanese carriers all the way up the line from day one, with Langley, Hōshō, Ranger, and Ryūjō coming back at Tiers III and V, while two newcomers arrive at Tier VII — Shōkaku and Lexington. The carrier branch of the tech tree stems from the Tier III battleships. Also, be sure to get a head start in the commander game by finishing a set of unique missions available throughout this update to earn the carrier-specific commanders Ernest King and Tamon Yamaguchi. Get ready for an entire new dimension of combat, captains! The new Limit Breaker campaign will also be featured in the April update, running for 5 weeks with 100 milestones to progress through. The crown jewel of Limit Breaker is the Japanese cruiser Suzuya, this Mogami-class cruiser brings an awesome broadside of fifteen 155 mm guns and plenty of torpedoes to keep enemies at bay. Couple her armament with outstanding mobility, and you’ve got a powerful light cruiser! Suzuya served throughout World War II, though in a rebuilt form. She saw action in several key battles, including the massive Battle of Leyte Gulf, where she was sunk by U.S. aircraft. As usual, you can get her alongside a ton of equipment and rewards in the campaign with admiralty backing. Arena Mode is back! Get ready for the return of intense 4-way battles! Not one, but two seasons will take place during this update, each with their own distinct ruleset. Players will see the return of the leaderboard for both of them, tracking different metrics, depending on the season. Most importantly, top three brackets of the leaderboard, namely the 25%, the 10% and the 1%, will receive Steel Badges, so it is the best time to start working on those Steel reserves! The week-long seasons begin April 19 and May 3. There’s plenty more coming in this update, including some balance changes to German battleship secondaries, introduction of seasonal Golden Week content and Anniversary Celebrations with a huge sale! Come join the fun and turn the tide!
