WarantX19
Hi to everyone. I need to move to a different room as my older brother going to UNi and I will change my “gaming setup”. What will be better for smooth gaming, WiFi or hard wiring the console? Translate Revert translation? Administrator edjazoli25 Posted October 3, 2021 Administrator Share Posted October 3, 2021 Hi @WarantX19 Firstly, thank you for joining Us and taking part in our Competition. As you mentioned you moving rooms and everything depends on the cable availability...So I will say if the Ethernet is not the problem use it, however any good wifi signal will do the trick. Remember that most of the game required min speed of 3.5Gb. Translate Revert translation? G-BOY
Good morning @WarantX19 . If I will have a chance to connect directly to the xbox console I will definitely choose cable{Ethernet}, however the router and WiFi signal will be plenty enough. How far from the router is the room? Translate Revert translation? WarantX19
@G-BOY Like 15m, but router is downstairs and I measured distance from router>stairs to bedroom. But If that to much I can put cable to get router upstairs? Translate Revert translation? Solution G-BOY Posted October 4, 2021 Solution Share Posted October 4, 2021 @WarantX19 no, no ,no you not measuring distance like cable but in straight line, even if its upstairs(example above) check the distance from router up to the room. Modern router are fine to send signal up to 20-25m , Im picking up signal from my neighbours lol. Trust me you'll be fine with wifi. Translate Revert translation? Administrator edjazoli25 Posted October 5, 2021 Administrator Share Posted October 5, 2021 @G-BOY and the rest is absolutny right. Wifi will be enough. I’m using WiFi with my console and the average speed drops only by 10% from 70Mbps to around 60Mbps. You’ll be fine. So what about try WiFi first and they make a final decision? Simple and effective…. Translate Revert translation? Chinese (simplified) English (British) German Polish Spanish WarantX19 1 edjazoli25
WarantX19
🤣 haha, I know what you mean now, silly me. Yes my bedroom will be just 7 m in straight line and I will check the signal first. Thanks and sorry for silly questions. 🙃 Translate Revert translation? Chinese (simplified) English (British) German Polish Spanish
