Recently, as most of you know, I was changing the analogs on my controller and now I can’t connect it back to the console.

I replaced the batteries and restart console. What can I do next? Any ideas.

I’ve got two options for you in this case.

  • Complete power cycle. To power cycle your controller follow steps below.

*Press and hold the Xbox Home Button for 5-10 seconds, until the controller turns off.

*Wait a few seconds, then press and hold the Xbox Home Button again to turn the controller back on.

  • USB controller update

*Press the Menu

*Go to Settings > Devices & accessories> Select the controller.

*Then select Update to download the new firmware to the controller.

*When you see the Controller updated screen then check again for sync with console.

The worst scenario is that by accident you’ve made a tiny damage the main board(motherboard)

@edjazoli25 all good now, thank you. The controller connect after power cycle, but I still went through the update to make sure everything is ok.
