Xbox Series X Physical Games Offline

Hi,

I would like to buy an Xbox Series X, but I would like to know if it’s possible to play physical games without ever having an internet connection?

I know I need a connection for my first Xbox Series X launch and physical games who work on Xbox One and Xbox Series X. However, I would like to know if physical games who play only on Xbox Series X and not on Xbox One work without internet? Without ever having an internet connection?

Yes you can, however not every game can be played offline, will check later for the list of offline games. For this moment I can confirm that Fifa 22, Star Wars Jedi:Fallen Order and The Witcher can be played offline.

While I said offline, you need to remember that you will need broadband connection for purposes of download the files and instal the game, after that you can simply disconnect line.

I will recommend as well to set up you console ( after installing games etc) to change to offline mode in settings.

I ask because the PlayStation 5 don't need an internet connection for the first launch of many physicals games, and I need a console that can be are totally offline for downloading games, but I prefer Xbox than PlayStation.

I'm a bit confused here, with any console this days you will need initial internet connection to download/instal the game.

Its not that the game is on the disc, you have access key( that recognise the ownership) and drivers that letting you to download the game files from the main server to the console. After that yes, you can use console offline with the game.

You will then need to put disc every time so the console can read "the key" and check that you own the game.

Mate you need Internet connection anyway to download the game, It’s not like was 20 years ago when the game was on the disc, nowadays it’s only a drivers and license key on it with access to server and game files. 
So conclusion is, put the disc in, connect to server and download the game/games, disconnect internet and you can now play off line games. 
Sorry but this is the ugly true with Xbox and Ps- no way you can do different way
