Acquisition of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has filed a lawsuit to block Microsoft's $69bn acquisition of Activision Blizzard.

The main issue with the Microsoft is that he has already shown that it can and will block content from its gaming rivals (ed: Bethesda games). The FTC are trying to stop Microsoft from gaining control of a leading independent games studio and using it to harm competition in many dynamic and fast-growing markets in the games industry.
If the deal were to be completed, Microsoft would become the third largest video game giant in the world. Sony has also had its fingers in the pie, fearing that Activision's Blizzard products would be withdrawn and not released on PlayStation consoles in the future, and gain exclusivity on Xbox consoles. Such a ploy would allow them to dominate the competition in the games market.

 

What you think about this situation guys? Any comments more than welcome.

 

For me personally it will be definitely better for us, the Xbox gamers as more great games will be included in the XGP as for current price we need more exclusive games.

yes, I agree. I would like to see Microsoft own Activision but only if they will promise to add the top games to XGP.

Def🥰🥲, we need more exclusive titles only for Xbox users as Sony doing for long time.

I’ll be very happy if CoD will be for free after Xbox will take over Blizzard, we need more exclusive games like PS.
