Firstly, welcome to our Forum and if you have a time it’s a good idea to register to get better access to all features on the forum.
Now, make sure your HDMI cable is the latest one with higher bandwidth that can offer at leat 18Gbps.

Check your Tv display settings after that.

I don’t have another HDMI and I thought any cable will be ok for 4K?

All cables are different and as I mentioned earlier you need a higher bandwidth for 4-8K  10-18 Gbps bitrate. Before you get new cable I can see you have another issue, so try to reboot console and then we will see.

Even now, settings are grey and can’t make any changes, any thoughts on this?

Try to restart console and see if that helps. Switch it off, take power cord off for 1 minute and press xbox power button( while is off) for at least 20 s( that will clear cache memory) switch back on and let me know if works.
