Can I change DNS in fibre optic broadband?

I saw topic about best DNS for gamers, so I’d like to know if it’s possible to change DNS when using fibre optic broadband or it’s only for ordinary copper older type installations? My point is that fibre optic using lights so don’t any DNS, correct?

Every broadband, search etc need DNS, it’s like a phone book, you typing address and then DNS taking you to the correct place where the files/ data is located.

Of course you can change DNS settings in fibre optic broadband, simply go to your router settings, or app if provided, and under internet settings you will see DND- auto, change for manual and add your chosen DNS. Personally I’m using Cloudflare as it’s really fast for gaming.

Yes, you can change DNS in any internet. Go to router or modem settings and in internet settings you should be able to modify DNS addresses.
