MomOf2
My boys played a game a few nights ago and they switched the console off with a controller( as usual) . After putting new batteries in, the controller turns the console off but no longer turns it back on?? When connecting to the second controller, everything works OK. Back to the one with new batteries, again, no possibility to switch it back on?? Any ideas?? Translate Revert translation? VIP Rockboy Posted March 30, 2023 VIP Share Posted March 30, 2023 Check if batteries are good? Sometimes when sitting long in the pack can make them weak. As well, connect controller via cable to console and check then. As well check for updates. Translate Revert translation? Solution zizicc Posted March 30, 2023 Solution Share Posted March 30, 2023 Take the batteries out of the controller. Pull the plug on the Xbox for 20 seconds. Power the system back up after it loads, put the barriers back in the controller and turn the controller on. Should works now It’s a bug that Microsoft know for years. Translate Revert translation? WarantX19
It's usually a battery issue. When mine did it I had a battery pack in it and that battery pack was dying over time. I put a fresh set of batteries in and it fixed the issue. What type of batteries you using? Alkaline or rechargeable? Translate Revert translation? MomOf2
@WarantX19 using normal alkaline batteries. Should I go for rechargeable? I was thinking about this but the charger itself is £15 and you need take them out etc… Translate Revert translation? Administrator edjazoli25 Posted March 31, 2023 Administrator Share Posted March 31, 2023 @MomOf2 Go for rechargeable batteries and then after gaming connect your controller to console via usb cable and this way you can recharge our batteries without taking them out every time. Have you tried this already? On 30/03/2023 at 17:26, zizicc said: Take the batteries out of the controller. Pull the plug on the Xbox for 20 seconds. MomOf2
@zizicc I’ve done as you said and works. And yes @edjazoli25 I have put rechargeable batteries and works perfectly.
