Guest Paul
Hi, I’ve got external drive plugged in to my xbox one S, should I unplug it every time I'm turning console off? xModerator Grano22 Posted November 30, 2020 xModerator Share Posted November 30, 2020 I guess not, because if you are on "instant mode" with your console, eg: downloading data for games or several system updates, the external disc will have errors if unplugged. If your console is completely off it make sense to disconnect hard drive only if your area is really hot; for example console is close to radiator/hot air-surface sources. Administrator edjazoli25 Posted November 30, 2020 Administrator Share Posted November 30, 2020 No, don't need to. It doesn't do any harm to the Xbox if you leave it in, as @Grano22 mentioned try to keep your Xbox and hard drive away from the hot areas. If you worried about the longevity of the drive , I can assure you that your HDdisc will be perfectly fine, I've got mine connected for over 3 years and still going strong( the only change will be with series X where you need new compatible drive). Enjoy and don't worry. Translate Revert translation? Chinese (simplified) English (British) French German Polish Spanish Turkish
